Incense made at Cottage Industries, a unit established in 1949 under the guidance of The Mother to supply Sri Aurobindo Ashram. What began as incense for the Ashram and its devotees is now made in the same small workshops, by the same slow methods.

The unit works to a deliberately un-industrial standard — natural materials, recycled packaging where possible, and hand processes kept wherever a machine would be faster but poorer.

Light, let the flame catch, then blow out and set in a holder. Burn in a ventilated space, away from anything that can catch.
