Hand-spun cotton wicks for traditional oil lamps. Made on a thakli spindle by the Wild Ideas community, ensuring steady and reliable burning during pooja.
Description
These wicks are spun using traditional techniques with a thakli cotton spindle by the rural women’s community of Wild Ideas. Cotton is specially sourced from Hubli, Dharwad, and Davanagere in Karnataka.
The tight spinning ensures the wicks stay lit and burn steadily, providing a reliable flame for your lamps and pooja ceremonies. Each pack contains approximately 120 pieces.
A traditional, sustainable choice for daily worship — supporting both cultural continuity and a rural women’s livelihood project.
