Cottage Industries — Sambrani Cups & Stand – 10

Description

Sambrani cups from Cottage Industries, Pondicherry. Benzoin resin pressed into a charcoal cup so it can be lit directly, without a separate burner or coal.

Sambrani has been burned in South Indian homes for centuries — after bathing, in the evening, at the threshold, or through a room to settle it. This is the same material, prepared to light in one step.

Place a cup on the stand, light the edge, let it glow, then blow out. Use in a ventilated room.
